HENDRICK CONSTRUCTION IN TOP 50 PRIVATE COMPANIES

CHARLOTTE, NC., Oct. 20, 2018 … Hendrick Construction, Inc. has joined the Top 50 Charlotte area-based private companies, according to The Charlotte Business Journal. The news outlet evaluated companies based on 2016 revenue.

Founded in 2002, Hendrick Construction now has 58 full-time employees. The company is a Charlotte, N.C.-based general contractor that provides commercial construction services throughout the Southeast. The company’s portfolio includes facilities for corporate headquarters, manufacturing, industrial, health care and bio-tech companies, as well as schools, government buildings, churches, entertainment venues, restaurants and hotels.

Recent projects include three buildings for Providence Day School in Charlotte, the expansion of Holly Springs Town Center and upfit of O2 Fitness in Holly Springs, N.C., 3rd and Madison apartment community near Nashville, Tenn., Home2 Suites in Mount Pleasant, S.C., and clean room renovations for G&W Laboratories Inc. in Lincolnton, N.C.  The company is well-known for its complete renovation of the iconic Grove Park Inn in Asheville in conjunction with its 100th anniversary and construction of three facilities totaling more than 250,000 square feet for the S.C. National Guard in Greenville, S.C. 

Hendrick Construction has long been recognized for its commitment to safety. The company is the three-time recipient of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) National Safety Excellence Award, recognizing its continued commitment to jobsite safety and exemplary safety performance and programs. Hendrick Construction has also been honored multiple times with ABC’s Platinum Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award.

The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has approved Hendrick’s Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promoting effective worksite-based safety and health, while the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSH) of the N.C. Department of Labor approved Hendrick Construction for participation in its Building Star program. Building Star recognizes construction companies and worksites that have an established and effective safety program, demonstrated leadership in health and safety and cooperation between employees and management to ensure a safe and healthful workplace.

Active in the communities in which it works, Hendrick Construction supports charitable organizations such as the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Boys & Girls Club, Crisis Assistance Ministry and the Dale Earnhardt Foundation.
